One Direction announces “Little Things” as new single!
Today, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson announced the boy band’s next single, “Little Things.”
One Direction aren’t wasting any time to roll out new music before their sophomore release drops next month. Their latest single “Live While We’re Young” has proved to be a success in the U.K. and U.S., and to follow that up, the band announced “Little Things.”
Although an exact release date for the single was not confirmed, the group’s Louis Tomlinson tweeted the announcement, saying: “On the shoot today for our next single off the new album , Little Things 🙂 happy days.”
“Live While We’re Young” has turned into a huge hit for the boy band. So far, the track has reached No. 2 on the U.K. charts and has been the highest single to debut from a British group in the U.S.
Their sophomore effort, Take Me Home, is scheduled to drop in the U.K. on November 12 and a day later in the U.S. Aside from this first single, reports about the sound of this release have varied. On the hand, band members have stated the album will be a change of sound, one that’s more live than their debut. On the other, producer/songwriter Savan Kotecha said Take Me Home is an extension of 1D’s debut, but, he added: “The idea was to kind of continue the whole fun, ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ kind of vibe – but maybe make the lyrics a bit more naughty.”
